Location: Our family sessions are done here at our studio in Belleville Illinois, however we do offer location shoots for an additional charge. Call for details.

Session Length: Typically smaller families of 3-8 people take around 30 minutes, while larger groups take an hour to an hour and a half. During this time Larissa usually starts with the entire group together then asks what breakdowns you want and shoots until you get everything you need.

Outfits: Families may opt to have their children change into a different outfit for a few of the pictures at no extra charge, however If families wish to have their entire group portrait done wearing two different outfits, an additional $5 per person fee applies.

Poses: The session includes any number of breakdowns including couples, individuals, and any other desired groupings. These must be requested at the time of the session when Larissa asks what extra pictures are needed. She doesn't limit the number of breakdowns you request and will take all the photos you need during your allotted time.

Viewing your Photos: Small single-family groups will have their images posted on our website within 3 days of their sitting and may prints order online at any time. Multi-family groups will have a purchasing appointment scheduled 2-7 days after the session. During this appointment, the family will get to view their photos on a large projection screen while TJ and/or Larissa help you determine what sizes and mounting options best meet your needs. It helps if you bring photos of your walls where you plan to hang the family photos. Deciding on poses, sizes, and hanging styles can be a daunting task, so we'll do our best to make it easier. We'll also show you different custom products and retouching options that are available.

Investment: Aside from the cost of the session the amount you spend on prints will vary depending on your needs. Most families spend between $300-$600 to meet their needs, although some spend more and some less. Our printing, framing, and mounting prices are over 50% less than most other area studios, so you'll be getting a great value on quality portrait art that you'll cherish for a lifetime. Are you required to order prints from us? Absolutely not. You'll be getting a CD with all your images and a copyright release. They're your images to do what you want with. But what good will your family photo do you if it's left on a CD? You want to display your photos in your home for everyone to enjoy. We want to help you accomplish that goal without spending a fortune. The prints we offer are a higher quality than the one-hour labs, and many of the larger sizes and custom products we offer are not available anywhere else.

Proofs: The session also includes a set of 4x6 proofs. These are usually ready within a week of the session. Additional sets of proofs may be purchased with the cost depending on the number of images taken at the session.

The CD: A regular family session includes a CD with all the images and a copyright release that allows you to reprint your photos at any place, any time. Families with multiple groups may request additional CDs.
